Arven School of Music and Performing Arts / Branding

I was asked to design a logomark for
Arven School of Music and Performing Arts, a young and cheerful school based in Ankara, Turkey.

The school hosts students mostly from age
4 to 12. Thus, what I imagined as a
logomark was more of a friend for the
children stepping in the school, making them feel safe and home.

I aimed this logomark to be a signature
character design. My ambition was creating an iconic image that is not too literal nor too
abstract regarding the concept of music and dance. When people look at the logo,
I wanted them to see a dancing and lively figure as if from an animation movie.
Where there is dance, there is already music!

We named our character Arvy.
