Extasy - Zambian rap album cover

This is Extasy. Extasy is an album cover concept for the artist Sampa the great, an uprising talent from Zambia creating awesome rap music deeply influenced by her African roots. Her style is unique, and I wanted to express that in the cover itself.
I wanted to create a mix of colors that stand out, and that had a feminine feel (as the artist is a woman) but at the same time still be accessible for the average man. The artist has a very aggressive style in some of her songs, so I choose a lion picture in the center to express wildness, power, and Africa at the same time. The borders of the cover are different parts of an aerial photography of the sea in Africa. The waves contribute to the wild and authentic feel of the music. The shapes in the middle in blue represent sound fluctuations in music.
