Mathpedia — Math E-learning App
Mathpedia is a design exploration of the final project of a computer-aided learning course. Mathpedia is a mobile based application to make it easier for children at primary school age to learn mathematics in a fun way. Mathpedia provides several key features such as video-based learning, material summaries, interactive quizzes, pre-test assessments, exercises, tracking learning progress, discussion forums, and others. Mathpedia is wrapped with gamification concept that are interactive and fun for children, they can earn points by watching learning videos, practicing math problems, or answering discussion forums. Points collected will be accumulated every week and there is a leaderboard to display the users who get the highest points. That we know, the attention span of children is quite low, therefore we put a few interactive games, a fun illustration, and also a colorful interface.

Tbh, this is the first time for me in designing an application with a child user. I have to be able to have a perspective of children, how they think, how they behave, how to maintain their attention span, and try not to make a 'boring' interface. It's also quite tricky because I need to use a variety of bright colors to attract the attention of children, but also need to pay attention to the UI/UX's principles.
