Sledge MMA Branding

Glenn ‘Sledge’ Williams, a semi professional MMA fighter out of South Wales. He has represented Wales at the IMMAF and has fought on the European circuit of MMA (Cage Warriors.)

The Sledge came to me looking produce a strong and significant logo. Something that would emulate his performances within the octagon.

In the end what was created was an ‘S’ mark that forged into a sledgehammer whilst also capturing the elements of an octagon. The lockup of the logo had to be altered to fit on certain merchandise. For example, the main lockup is best suited for shinguards with its rounded off type at the top of the logo. Whereas the minimal variant of the ‘S’ mark is better suited to a glove.
