Sweet Root Coffee Roasters Logo Design

Daily Logo Challenge is a great practice for designers. In the challenge, there is a coffee shop theme. I LOVE coffee culture and have worked for companies like Stumptown Coffee Roasters and know the ins-and-outs of the trade. My first round of logos for the coffee shop were not to my liking and I gave myself another chance at further developing an idea for a coffee roaster and here is what I came up with.

Since the majority of the flavor is the result of excellent soils and good farming practices, I connected the root + sweetness of taste and came up with the name Sweet Root Coffee Roasters. The imagery is the connection between your cup of coffee and the coffee plant. The solid bold typography has a heavy base look and the type for coffee roasters is an artist brush representing the artistry of roasting.
