Hi dribbbronis. Here’s some album art I wrapped for my friends in Majjin Boo.
I loved the process on this one. Zavi emailed me the track and left it pretty wide open, giving me a few visual references, but letting me interpret it on my own. The symbols, the vintage photography, and the color all make passing references to the lyrics and the emotions I felt were in there.
What I love about this approach is how encoded and oblique the end result is — it’s a puzzle without any “correct” solution, and you solve it by combining the song with the art and your own experience.
