What is worth paying attention to when designing websites?

As the crown-virus and its isolation are becoming more and more difficult, last week I took up the challenge of "upgrading" a website designed by my friend who is a beginner UI / UX Designer. I also wanted to describe in this short article what beginners should pay attention to in order to improve the level of work performed.

Users these days are very demanding - trends and ways to interest the user change day by day. I'd say the details change, but the principals stay the same. The way changes, the content does not change.

What is worth paying attention to to make the project interesting, modern - very interesting for the user?

1. Typography. In my opinion, one of the most important components of today's UI Design. Implementation in good use of typography takes some time, but it can be made.

2. Snag point - it's important to pay attention to the context when designing. The creation was supposed to be an advertisement of the performance of dancers with fire. That's why I put a strong accent on sparks - they pay attention, they are dynamic, they allow the user's attention. Combined with an interesting animation could give a very interesting effect.

3. Extras - details such as links to Social Media, scrolling, interesting menu - in such aspects it is worth looking for inspiration on such portals as Dribbble or Behance.

What would I recommend to beginner UI Designers who want to improve their skills.

1. Steal as much as possible. Plan 2 hours a week to reproduce interesting projects from the best authors. Mapping gives great results - it allows you to catch "flow", teaches you to pay attention to interesting details or modern solutions.

2. Work with typography - learn the basics of typography on the internet, but try to play with it. In addition to its reading function, things like outline text also give modern aesthetic value.

3. Attachment point. Think about the context with each new project. Ask questions - why is it designing, for whom, why, what does it want to achieve with this project, what goals? Search for contexts, you can create a mini-report with the things you want to pay attention to, write down the answers to these questions. Thanks to this, you get a much bigger advantage knowing why you really do it :)
