RE:IMAGINED BOOK COVER DESIGN | The Design Of Everyday Things
I joined the Dribbble Playoff Reimagine the Cover Design of a Favorite Book, and I choose Don Norman's The Design Of Everyday Things.
As a design professional and observer, I am intrigued by how a thing designed, and this book influenced a lot of designers from all walks of life.
There is a thing they called the "Norman Door." The door is one of the everyday things that the people interact with. Some doors were poorly designed, and the people are troubled with confusing signs and interaction - remember the PULL and PUSH. Yes, they are sometimes confusing. Even if we have used the door for a century, the issue with doors still persists. They come in different sizes and shapes. Do we really need instructions to use the door? That's makes this object interesting. Moreover, I find the door one of the unique objects that design by a human for humans.
