Riverside Chargers

My mom volunteered me to design this logo.

Riverside Public Schools was founded in 2014 – a consolidation of two small town Nebraska schools. After a school-wide student competition to design the logo finished with underwhelming results, my mom told the superintendent I would submit a design. With a horse mascot and colors already selected by the school, I wanted to create a one-of-a-kind logo that was strong, intimidating and timeless. I also wanted to incorporate the traditional “charger” lightning bolt in the horse’s mane and create a simple, custom typeface. The result is a unique, professional sports logo that stands out in the crowd of low quality, copycat logos adopted my most small town schools.
