Laksa

Laksa is a Peranakan (mixed race people of Chinese and maritime southeast Asian descent) staple dish popular in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. The name comes from the Hokkien ‘luak sua’ meaning ‘spicy sand’ -referring to the texture of the dried prawns in the dish.
