1 Hour Logo Challenge #9 Kahvi

Kahvi (coffee in Finnish) is a hipster café that’s set out as a place for people to chill for hours in. Even though it was not in the brief, I found out from a quick search that it’s mandatory to have two 10-15 minute coffee breaks at work every day in Finland. Talk about work-life balance at its best! 😲

Then inspired by the Finnish coffee culture, I figured the logo should be all about the coffee – starting from the main form being a coffee bean to the overall fluid look.

It definitely looked hipster for Hitesh at first glance, yet unique and simple to his liking. He could totally imagine the logo coming to life in a coffee cup. The only improvement that he would do for this design would lie on the details of the typography. What do you think?
