Virtual Open Day

Just a quick design of a virtual open day for universities.

Given the current pandemic, it's a tough decision for any student to pick a university that they can't visit and fully immerse themselves in.

That's where a virtual open day comes in. By bringing together a variety of mediums like web, video, 360 images and video calls, we can bring that community feeling to the student - affording students the chance to immerse themselves into a university beyond the brochure.

Design notes:
- The coloured panels (left and right) move independently up and down through the use of the arrows at the bottom left or scrolling.
- Left-hand navigation contains quick links and a search function to explore by course and at the bottom a testimonial and link to open days (Zoom calls).
- The smaller screen (bottom-right), is the view of a 360 image and in this case, the user has clicked a CTA (Video icon) linking to a popup video/walkthrough of the grounds.
- On pages like the aforementioned, a bottom-navigational element will show. This features arrow buttons leading to other 360 images (e.g. sports hall). It will also contain a title, such as the name of the current 360 image/location.
