Rosca

Detail of an illustration we did for Titays - a very old (100+ years) biscuit maker from Cebu, Philippines. Depicted here is Mama Titay, the woman who invented the Rosquillos, a biscuit that is shaped by using a metal gear (rosca).

The only reference photo we had of Mama Titay was one where she was quite old. So we had to imagine how she would look like when she was much younger. We were very happy when her son exclaimed that what we drew looked very much like her.

As we would say in Cebu - Nakachamba! (Lucky) :-D
