TREASURE ISLAND Book Cover - Dribbble Weekly Warm Up

"Treasure Island" by Robert Louis Stevenson is one of the few books that has been with me since my childhood. We even had the audio book and it would play many times in my parent's car or in our living room.

This story is a classic pirate tale, full of two-faced characters, authentic violence, rum and danger. In the end it's not really about the treasure itself but the journey and every little detail makes the story come to life.

So this one was an easy pick for me and I sat down and illustrated all these little images in one evening. The colours are happy and a little bit threatening at the same time. The textures remind me of old treasure maps. The font is a free font called Conserta DEMO.
