Turo Pre-listing flow improvements
How might we effectively encourage prospective hosts to list their car on Turo and accept their first trip?
In 2019 the team set out to improve host acquisition and activation. Through research, we discovered that hosts didn't have enough information in the pre-listing experience to feel comfortable with listing their car. We set out to create an information hub that enticed hosts with an earnings figure and contained extensive information about their most frequently asked questions.
This was an exploration in content strategy and information hierarchy.
Through usability testing, we uncovered that people enjoyed seeing a menu of topics to read from, rather than being taken through a linear flow of information, like most onboarding flows.
