Koniku 2.0 – KoniKore Chip & PCB Design
Art Direction Proof of Concept – Technical
Hello World! After making its way through NDA limbo, it’s finally here – the vanilla proof of concept model of a tech sketch we used for art direction!
Using the “Koniku Blueberry Pi” custom circuit board (PCB) alongside the Koniku chip, we managed to achieve an elegantly balanced visual presentation that’s far more than just “pretty”. It actually follows the rough specs we were provided by Koniku’s engineers – things like measurements, components and layout. And since we like doing things right, we make it a point that all our 3-D assets are made from the ground up in cinema 4D r20; rendered in Octane 4.0 and postprocessed in After Effects 2020.
You can find the still render in the attachment.
But you’re looking at one side-component of the KoniKore. So, if it’s just “secondary,” why all the detail?
Seeing that you can’t actually use this render to frankenstein together your own KoniKore, you might still be wondering why we went through all the trouble?
Well, we don’t believe in “just”. If it’s a part of the main narrative, it gets all-inclusive treatment; meaning that it needs to be well thought out, fit into its environment perfectly, as well as be able to stand firmly on its own.
