Leaderboards for Teams

Another design exploration for Stack Overflow’s private Q&A products.

Problem: Many folks use Stack Overflow and benefit from it, but they don’t necessarily interact with the site (post content, vote, comment, etc.). Lurkers are fine but engaged users are better, so what can we do to encourage to participate in their communities (aside from poking them with a stick, which we had trouble scaling 😜)

One concept we explored was Leaderboards. Leaderboards would give teams the option to create friendly competition on the team, as well as surface content that would otherwise become buried (Private Q&A isn’t searched by Google, the primary path into public Stack Overflow content).
