Cut Copy Paste - The simple side

I am thinking about reworking the cut, copy, paste terminology and iconography, as the words themselves relate to something that we just don't do on the majority. Though the meaning is understood and used a lot, I wanted to start thinking of them in terms of shapes rather than scissors and paper and brushes.

Similarly with the Save function on apps and sites, I want to move away from the old floppy disk symbol. So here is my first, very basic designs of cut, copy, paste. Or as I may end up calling them, Out, Dupe, In, or maybe the more elongated and possibly unnecessary Extract, Split and Merge.
