The Interpretation Of Dreams • Book Cover

For this project we were to choose one of the following titles and design a book jacket A book cover design has to entice a viewer to pick up the book. It should set the mood and hint what lies between its covers. I had to choose from only a selective list that was given to us. I had to choose The Interpretation of Dreams by Sigmund Freud. The book cover illustrates a forest dream-like background with the butterfly that symbolize his thoughts or memories heading to the open door in the background, leading to another part of the mind.

I remember when I was researching Sigmund Freud he was an absolute crazy nut case. I almost switched book titles but then I thought maybe I could create a elegant and pretty book cover and leave out Freud’s insane mine. I think I achieved that.
