Kuessipan

When the coronavirus lockdown was announced, MOOOV had the lovely idea to hold their annual filmfestival in the online world instead. And because now is the perfect time to send postcards to each other, they asked me and a host of talented illustrators to create a postcard based on one of the movies from the festival. I was assigned to the brilliant movie Kuessipan by Myriam Verreault based on the novel by Naomi Fontaine, about the life and friendship of two young Innu women on a Canadian reserve. It is a beautifully tender movie about friendship and identity, so it was an absolute pleasure working on this illustration (who doesn’t love it when watching a movie qualifies as working!)

Check out the project on my portfolio and hit L to like it!
