Crop circles are just dogs chasing their tails.

Dynamics were simulated and rendered in Houdini. The dog was modeled, rigged, animated in Maya, and then painted over so that we could get some of the right lighting/shadowing. The Maya animation was used to create the right dynamics in the grass. And then composited and put together in After Effects
