Ramadan Concept App: Keep Track of Your Daily Fasts

Ramadan Mubarak! ✨ Here’s an app concept designed to help keep track of your daily fasts and progress.

🗓 Ramadan marks the 9th month of the Muslim Lunar Calendar and when Muslims abstain from food and drink (yes, not even water) between the hours of sunrise and sunset. It's also a month of spiritual reflection and a time when Muslims are encouraged to increase their acts of charity for the benefit of others.

🙋🏽‍♀️ Want to know how to be a great non-Muslim friend to a Muslim?

1. Start by wishing them Ramadan Mubarak. The littlest gestures have the biggest impact.
2. Don’t feel bad about eating in front of us. Eating and drinking near us doesn't make the fast any harder!
3. Wondering if you can fast too? Of course! But it is by no means necessary. Although socializing is limited at the time, try attending online Ramadan events or break fast through a zoom call with a friend, it will mean just as much.
4. Show empathy. During this time of the pandemic, many people may have been impacted in ways they don’t wish to share with the public. It’s important to be as understanding as possible if peers, co-workers, or friends are not at their 100% best.
