Café Cler Branding

Our goal at Mad Creativity is to create a brand that founders can personally identify with, which is why we designed Café Cler. We wanted to display the meaning and thought we put into our design process. If you’ve spent any time in Paris or France, you know the feeling of working in a coffee shop that’s tucked away into a skinny alley. You feel inspired, warm, and curious. You look outside the window to see people passing by, while observing the details of historic architecture that you can only find in Paris. This atmosphere is truly unique and is hard to replicate, however, the mission of Café Cler is to create some form of this “café culture” here in the US. While the space is important, the branding can also mimic the experience of sipping a coffee in France. Every detail of this branding was perfectly thought out. The pattern you see on the coffee cup is composed of street signs in Paris where our favorite restaurants, shops, and memories live. The car that inspired the secondary logo is from an iconic concept shop in Paris. The loyalty card created for customers is inspired by a metro ticket, which you’re sure to encounter on your trip in Paris. Even the name “Café Cler” was created from the street Maddy lived on during her time abroad. This brand not only gives you a piece of the Parisian coffee shop experience, but it also gives you a glimpse into the story behind the concept.
