My personal tribute to Frida Kahlo for International Woman's Day 🙋🏻♀️
I visited her last home which is now a museum in Coyoacán in México City, where her remains kept in great condition. I love her honest approach to what she needed to express in art in which subject includes something regarded as taboo but the countless woman could relate to, such as birth and abortion. Indeed her art is filled with pain and sorrow, but so beautiful at the same time with her folk-influenced surrealistic art style.
