Hand Pencil Logo

I was commissioned by New Zealand-based design studio Marx Design to come up with a symbol. The brief was to articulate the always pencil-first approach they took. Taking the pencil and hand as a the framework, I applied a reductionist as a gesture of process, the stepping of the fingers intended to reinforce this notion.
