All 4 Android Tab

I recently finished working with Channel 4 on their All 4 video on demand service for mobile.

We all know the importance of building and evolving a solid design system - often a set of static Sketch or Figma files.

But what about an interactive design system made with reusable components? Take them off the shelf and quickly build a prototype of your new feature. That’s the dream.

Here is a tab navigation component I build for the All 4 Android app complete with the Material design ripple effect and a ‘little bouncy pop’.

I also started playing with the All 4 iconography style (so what you see here isn’t in the live app but my initial design exploration)… but that’s another story.
