Shikhan "Kush Tau" in the Republic of Bashkortostan

Shikhans in Bashkortostan are isolated hills in the Bashkir pre-Urals, consisting of four single mountains-Toratau, Shakhtau, Yuraktau, Kushtau. The age of Shihan is estimated to be up to 300 million years old. Company "BSK" has almost destroyed a unique natural monument, Shihan of Shakhtau. In 2019, the regional authorities allowed the start of industrial development of the next mountain — Kushtau. According to activists, the raw material problem should not be solved by destroying natural monuments.
