Weekly Warm-Up | Hope Garden

Backstory: My best friend is a plant pathologist. We've known each other a decade (or more, who's counting?), yet it's taken her this long to give me a plant. Maybe I just wasn't ready before.

She showed up with it one day and said "Mekkie, this is Hope. She's damaged just like you, but she's a fighter—just like you. You gotta keep her alive, ok?"

My bestie doesn't sugarcoat, that's for sure. 3 months and counting and Hope's still going strong (despite falling off the window twice!) It's funny how the smallest things can give us hope.
