Grand Budapest Hotel
Travelling was something very different during the first half of the 20th century: there were no huge airport lines; worrying about leg space wasn't a issue; and trying to book online the best budget hotel on the trendiest European capital wasn't even a thought. Even though some things improved, travelling now can be a nightmare and one of the traditions that disappeared was luggage labels.
Back then, every major hotel would stamp one of these into your luggage. They would work not only as advertising but also as a way to proudly display your travelling history. I love how these little stickers aim to represent a place and time through typography and illustration and that's why I decided to start this new personal project called "Bon Voyage!", inspired by an old book I have, where I'll create labels from hotels and places that don't necessarily exist. This first one is from one of my favourite movies "Grand Budapest Hotel". Any suggestions for the next one?
