My next experimental work Dada - iliazd
iliazd - ilia Zdanevich was a Georgian and French writer and artist, and an active participant in Dada.
In 1912 he and his brother became enthusiastic about the Tbilisi painter Niko Pirosmanashvili....
Dada was born out of negative reaction to the horrors of the First World War. Dada rejected reason and logic, prizing nonsense, irrationality and intuition. The origin of the name Dada is unclear; some believe that it is a nonsensical word. Others maintain that it originates from the Romanian artists Tristan Tzara's and Marcel Janco's frequent use of the words "da, da," meaning "yes, yes" in the Romanian language.
Although Dada itself was unknown in Georgia until at least 1920, from 1917 until 1921 a group of poets called themselves "41st Degree".
The most important figure in this group was Iliazd, whose radical typographical designs visually echo the publications of the Dadaists.
