A precarious balance

Every lofty dream is plagued by disheartening expectations. This illustration depicts the binary of dreams and expectations represented by the balloons and anchor. What i aim to depict through the illustration is the state of helpless limbo the human being is entrapped in. He has to take a step and tip the balance in order to escape from this limbo. Sometimes, everything shouldnt be perfectly balanced, like expected. As for technique, i made a rough sketch and colored it on photoshop. I used grain brushes to give the lineless, three dimensional look for the artwork.
