Lloyds Mobile Banking Input Tips

Here’s a little piece of work I did on the Lloyds mobile banking app. Adding a reusable design component for input tips.

These input tips are shown when the user is active in a selected field. In this example, while the available balance is shown next to the account details, replaying as a tip helps remind the user of their available funds. It also sets a precedent that the input fields give you more info. We found some users weren’t always familiar with what a payment reference was and who it was for. Explaining the the reference in a tip helped these users while not cluttering the UI.
