Dribbble Saudi 05

With a short timeline and a tight budget Expedia asked us to create an exciting web experience for Saudi Arabia based around a short narrative.

After some initial concepting and quick prototyping, we looked to create a parallax site that was divided into 11 sections. Each section contained a short part of the narrative story and an image that related to it.

We looked at dividing the sections into 4 to get the best parallax effect this was made up of
- Static background image
- Moving foreground asset - which moved at a medium speed (when scrolled)
- Moving background asset - which moved at a fast speed (when scrolled)
- Particle elements - these were coded based and acted as dust, sand and sea particles.

The site itself was only live for 3 months but was designed and built as a white label product meaning that the elements could be replaced and a new site pulled together in quick succession.

At the bottom of the site the user was able to view drone footage of the various landmarks as well as carousel through a descriptive gallery of the landmarks.
