H is for Hope

I chose this image to represent hope because the character is Chryses, who During the Trojan War (before the actions described in Homer's Iliad), prayed to Apollo to retrieve his daughter kidnapped by Agamemnon.

Apollo, to defend the honor of his priest, sent a plague that devastated the Greek armies, and Agamemnon was forced to return the daughter of Chryseis to finish him off.
