Organizing and running a successful hackathon has many moving parts and variables. Each of them needs to work just right for a hackathon to successfully happen. As part of the organizing team for Western Canada's largest hackathon - nwHacks, I have worked on a near-field communication (NFC) app for registration and tracking key metrics during the event.
