The Lyric Season Posters

This is my TENTH season designing for The Lyric’s (AtlantaLyricTheatre.com) and I was so excited to get to create a whole new art direction with their main stage programming this year. The Lyric has an exciting line up of shows and I designed for them a fresh, new look. The new graphic approach is focused heavily on silhouettes and graphic imagery inspired by each show. For example, The Addams Family shows the house, the graveyard, Thing and more! Each show was really fun to do as they were each a puzzle of what, visually, would represent each show the best. Another opportunity to express the tone of each show was the typography treatment of the show title. A lot of fun was had with that as well and the final outcomes are quite different from each other. Doing the artwork for all the shows of their season at one time allows for a very visually cohesive approach to their season marketing. What you see here are the announcement posters. As the specific information for each show comes together, these designs will be used to finalize promotional posters, postcards and advertising.
