Spaces Of Solidarity
Temporary webpage sketch •
Identity design for 'Spaces of Solidarity' - a course at Harvard Graduate School Of Design by an architect Malkit Shoshan (FAST).
“’Spaces of Solidarity' aims at examining community-driven spaces and spatial processes that pool and share resources to build social cohesion in times of crisis at a variety of scales, places, and contexts.”
The visual language is derived from the processes of the 'Spaces of Solidarity’ practice: accumulation, development and distribution. These processes are symbolised as directions & arrows in iconography.
The brutalist design communicates the radicality of the platform and helps viewers to engage with the content on a deeper level. Through aesthetics I gave the platform, whose goal it is to build social cohesion, a loud and encouraging voice. While yet being inviting, open and inclusive. From the first release of the temporary website back in April 2018 to a full identity system, design, poster series, website coming together and constantly growing archive of projects.
