One page website (on a shoestring budget)

I started an educational centre for kids in Mumbai, India where we coach kids on Brain Development programmes.

After having run out of funds because we spent it on building the physical infrastructure required at the learning centre, I was left thinking - do I really need a website? Because I really didn't need it as much as I wanted one.

So I decided I'll build a website on an absolute shoestring budget for the parents who would like to enrol their children into our maths improvement classes.

Overall Budget:
Domain, Hosting, Template, CMS, etc: Rs. 4000 ($57)

Objective:
I wanted something that very clearly showed the parents what benefit their child could derive from being part of the programme.

I really didn't want to spend too much real estate on who we are and rather emphasise on how we can help their children.

Call to Action:
Simple and really low commitment. Take an appointment to visit a free workshop with us.

Design:
I designed my educational centre to have a very simplistic and scandinavian design and I wanted my website to resonate the same open and airy design aesthetic.

Features:
Basically tells you what we can do for your child, the free workshops we conduct, course details, testimonials and how to find us. I also wanted to ensure that it was totally mobile friendly.

To summarize:
It was my own project and it wasn't extremely high on priority since the website wasn't my money maker.

The purpose of this post is to hopefully inspire some budding designers and entrepreneurs who are really just starting out that you can build an MVP at a really low cost to get your foot through the door.

Note:
I only build cheap websites that look fancy for 1 client, you guessed it right - it's me. If I can do it, so can you :)
