News Grid (horizontal + vertical rhythm)

I did a task for Prismatic as part of job interview some time ago and thought I can share the custom grid I made.

Almost everything fits strictly to baseline grid (line-height), with exception of titles, which has padding to fit into multipliers of line-height.

Vertical grid is based on line-height to keep the rythm and it's made from 3 (or 6) columns which can be further separated.

I personally think that Prismatic doesn't need more complex grid, because more complex grid makes the page just more messy and less scanable...

Do you create custom grids for your designs or do you use templates?
