Flight Cancellation Notification
Daily UX Writing Challenge Day 1, Flight Cancellation. Today's challenge was to write copy within notification constraints for an airline app that has cancelled a flight.
Personally when my flights have been cancelled I feel super irritated, but am appreciative when the airline is actually kind and helpful. Here I tried to write in a reassuring + informative voice, while providing CTA options that I'd want to see after a cancellation notification. I would want to feel like the airline was trying to help right away rather than just notifying me that I'm stuck for now.
I also didn't want to do an automatic "we've booked you on the next flight" notification because realistically:
a. not all "next flights" would work for all humans, and
b. it's nice to be given a choice while you're in a position where things are out of your control
