GET OUT THE VOTE

This is my submission for the 2020 AIGA GET OUT THE VOTE CAMPAIGN!

My idea started with the content actually. I was thinking about the association we make between voting and voice. I think that we should be loud and proud in our ability/right to vote and thought about some of the loudest "voices." A ROOOOAAARRRR seemed quite fitting :)

The illustration style was intended to be bold, eye-catching, and unapologetic. I wanted the audience to feel the roaring of the tiger in the imagery. The flat style alluded to a paper-like texture for me, so I leaned into that feel with the typography. I paired the imagery with a typeface called PaperCute, which had just enough personality to compliment the bold tiger, rather than compete with it.
