Functioning in Slow Motion

Dedicated to Jean-Dominique Bauby, who suffered a massive stroke and wrote the beautiful book The Diving Bell and the Butterfly by blinking his left eyelid. This animation goes through his account in the last chapter, the day when everything seems normal until he suffers from a stroke.
The lovely artist/designer Katie Kerr let me record her synaesthesia to adapt for this project. The animation is synced to the audio and monitors audio waveforms to change the way it moves. The music was made for this project, composed and produced by myself.
