Walrus Pom-Pom

083/100 for #100poms šŸ²

Tufty tusks! ā£ā£Iā€™ve been thinking about ways to interrupt/take advantage the parts of this process that I often take for granted. Cutting open the yarn and removing the poof from the pom maker is usually quick work with a box cutter, but as I donā€™t have one with me while traveling, Iā€™ve had to go slower with scissors. While less efficient, itā€™s a good opportunity to experiment with precision. ā£

In this case, I wrapped the white yarn around the pom maker twice but only cut one strand (see img 3 on Instagram), meaning I could pull the loop and end up with a very long single set of tusks (vid 4) instead of having to wrap them on the outside of the pom and floss them into place like I did with the dragonfruit. Not quite sure how to level this up to multiple strands yet, but itā€™s intriguing. šŸ¤”ā£
