Plateau - HDMI Switcher

Individuals often struggle with mirroring their laptop displays onto projector screens using HDMI switchers. Plateau is a 2-part solution that consists of (1) a redesign of the physical HDMI switcher and (2) a new digital user interface that starts automatically when devices are connected.

Plateau has a 12’’ x 8.5’’ elevated surface that invites users to place their laptops on it while concealing wires underneath it. Inspired by the tape recorder, large noticeable buttons allow users to easily switch between display inputs. Upon connecting their device, users will be greeted with a dock interface which allows them to immediately customize their display settings without struggling with it.
