the myth of Janus

This is a project I made for school based on the works of Tom Whalen. I was assigned to design janus and his myth in the same illustration. Janus is the two headed god, who can see the future and the past, birth and death. Sovereign of new beginnings and god of cycles, doors and arches, he welcomed Chronos when he was cast away from mount Olympus by his son Zeus, who took his place as the king of all gods. To reward Janus for his hospitality, Chronos gave him the power to see in the future and in the past.
