Wilhelm Jerusalem Live Show Recording Texts

For live recording (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BELQgK-Aifw) of a band I am supporting lately I wanted to create a sketchy/wiggly text effect. Couldn't find any real tutorial over the web so I decided to do it my way.

First I drew all the text on paper with a fountain pen (as it does have that irregular texture). Then scanned, cleaned and vectorised using Illustrator's great Image Trace. Printed every text four times with minimum opacity and traced every letter with the pen again (see attachment).

Repeated the process of scanning and vectorising. Then I had four versions of every text. Slightly different as you'll never repeat every letter same way.

The last step was to repeat each version every four frames on the video. The final effect was pretty nice, sketchy and wiggly enough.
