Beautiful & Flawed

Flawed people have stories to tell.
Beautiful people are prepared to tell them.
Flawed people have battle scars, loss and dashed hopes.
The beautiful know there’s a future hope, it’s bigger than what they can see.
The flawed know it’s not their talents, looks or charm that unlocks their future.
The beautiful stand upright, whatever is coming at them.
The flawed know heartbreak.
The beautiful can put their arms around another’s aching soul.

We are beautiful and flawed.
We used to be so certain of how things would turn out.
But to know God, he doesn’t always do the things we’d expect of hope for.
And that’s ok.
A sign that He trusts us so much, is when so much is at stake.
His invitation is to choose Him.
It might be our only option.

God doesn’t want cookie cutter people.
Or people who stepped onto a conveyor belt and came out the other side.
His stories are adventure.

He wants the most beautiful things to come from our greatest flaws.
