Internal Notifications

THE PROBLEM
Deloitte found that their employee's were receiving so many emails a day that they started to ignore their inboxes and miss important notifications such as planned or unplanned outages.

PROCESS
After speaking with and learning about the pain points for people and teams that:

- Were sending emails
- Who were receiving the emails

I created a clickable prototype to test concepts and quickly iterate with based on feedback. Once the prototype was validated, I collaborated with an awesome developer to implement a solution that would be used on both apple and android devices.

SOLUTION
I wanted to make sure that sending a notification via our app was just as easy if not more than sending an email. I kept the ease of use and vital feature sets in email such as:

- Flexibility to target the alert to: 1 person, team, or company wide

While also making improvements to the experience by having:

- Alert priorities so that alerts could be easily filtered and groups rather than all holding the same weight as they did in email.
- Notification settings so that employees could have more control over the information that were receiving and not miss the vital alerts.
