Recording of Local Social Network Prototype

Experimental concept for local social network powered by group chats about events and locations in the city.

What you see here is screen recording of prototype preview mode in Origami Studio. Gestures and phone frame added with After Effects.

The challenge was to create design for new type of social network that is based not on viral cat videos but on local bars, restaurants and people. Also avoid impression of directory listing platform. That's why I used chat bubbles slightly overlaying on the main image and appearing on scroll, to signal that these are not old, ranked and sorted comments, but live chat from people you can meet at the bar.

The part with tabs containing information of the location is developed and live running. We updated it many times based on business owners insights, and user behaviour analytics.
