G: 36 Days of Type

Decided to do my own stomping grounds. I grew up a few miles from the shores of Lake Michigan, and so much of my childhood was spent running on the beach, looking for petoskey stones, regretting dune climbs, and campfires on the cold evening sand. There’s nothing quite like the lakes- each one has its own nature, and Lake Michigan is my favorite. It’s not as pure as Superior but it’s sandy and warmer. The dunes along it turn amber at sunset and the dune grass destroys your feet. But there’s nothing like it. Now I live on the west bay of Grand Traverse Bay, and if you watch my Instagram stories, you’ll get a daily dose of my office view of Lake Michigan along with whatever song I’m currently jamming to.
